The Art of Fine Art Photography

Fine art photography is more than a captured image—it is a vision brought to life. Each piece begins with the artist’s imagination and unfolds through a deliberate creative process, transforming the camera into a brush and the world into a canvas. Unlike traditional photography that merely records reality, fine art photography transcends documentation. It interprets, reimagines, and reshapes the world through the unique perspective of the artist.

At Fiovida Studio & Art Gallery, every photograph is infused with thought, feeling, and artistic intent. These works are not just pictures; they are visual poems, crafted to evoke deep emotion and spark personal reflection. By emphasizing aesthetics, interpretation, and abstraction, fine art photography allows the artist to experiment with light, color, composition, and technique—creating pieces that are as timeless as they are original.

For collectors, this means acquiring more than an image—it means investing in a story, a vision, and a tangible expression of creativity. Each photograph invites you to step into a dialogue, to see the world through a new lens, and to discover layers of meaning that unfold over time.

Every Fiovida piece is carefully created to honor the artistry behind it. From museum-quality printing methods to hand-crafted presentation, each limited edition is designed to elevate the photographic image into the realm of fine art. These works are destined not only to decorate a wall but to inspire conversation, ignite imagination, and enrich your life for generations to come.

Fine art photography is where vision becomes legacy—and every collector becomes part of the story.

Our Editions

Our collection is presented in three tiers—Gallery Editions, crafted for the discerning collector; Studio Editions, offering exclusivity in numbered series; and Open Editions, designed to bring the beauty of our work within reach of all audiences.

Gallery Editions

Gallery Editions follow the same process as our Studio-Edition Collection, with the added feature of a handmade wooden art panel that we mount the canvas print onto. After curing, we apply multiple coats of premium epoxy resin, each layer poured and finished by hand. This labor-intensive process takes several days to complete. Still, the result is exceptional—colors radiate with unmatched vibrancy, details gain remarkable depth, and the surface achieves a luminous, glass-like finish. The resin also provides UV protection and a durable, lasting seal, safeguarding the artwork against fading and environmental damage.

Because of the time, skill, and precision required, every Gallery Edition is inherently rare. These works are not mass-produced prints, but true, authentic, handmade editions—crafted to endure, to inspire, and to hold lasting value for discerning collectors.

Light, Depth, and Movement

Resin interacts with light in a way that traditional finishes cannot. The surface reflects and absorbs light differently throughout the day, giving the artwork a sense of movement and presence within a space.

This quality is intentional. The goal is not perfection, but resonance—an artwork that feels alive in its environment.

Studio Editions

Studio Editions offer an accessible way to collect the work while preserving the integrity of the original process. Each piece is created from the same carefully prepared image as the Gallery Editions and produced using archival materials selected for longevity, clarity, and tone.

While Studio Editions do not include the resin finishing process, they are not secondary works. They are considered complete expressions in their own right—printed, reviewed, and released with the same attention to detail.

Printing and Materials

All Studio Editions are produced using archival pigment inks chosen for color accuracy and durability. Each image is printed to maintain subtle gradations, deep shadows, and the quiet balance present in the original work.

Multiple print finishes are offered to allow collectors to choose how the image lives within their space.

Available Finishes

Metallic Canvas
Printed on archival metallic canvas with a soft pearlescent surface. This finish enhances depth and color while maintaining a contemporary, matte-to-satin appearance. Pieces arrive stretched and ready to hang.

Editioning

Studio Editions may be offered as open editions or in larger, defined runs depending on the image. Each piece is inspected prior to release to ensure consistency and quality.

Where applicable, Studio Editions may be signed.

Presentation and Care

Studio Editions are designed to integrate easily into a variety of spaces—from residential interiors to offices and hospitality settings. Specific care and framing recommendations are provided to support long-term enjoyment.

Open Editions

Open edition prints offer the same meticulous craftsmanship and vivid detail as our Studio editions, but without restriction on the number of reproductions. This allows collectors and admirers alike to bring the beauty of Fiovida artwork into their lives at a more accessible level.

Every print is produced with archival inks and premium materials, ensuring lasting vibrancy and depth. Open editions provide an inviting way to enjoy fine art daily—whether as a first step into collecting or as a meaningful addition to your space.

Available Finishes

Baryta Fine Art Paper
Printed on museum-grade baryta paper known for its rich blacks, smooth tonal transitions, and traditional photographic character. This option offers a classic fine-art presentation.

Metallic Photo Paper
Printed on high-gloss metallic photo paper that emphasizes contrast and luminosity. The reflective quality of the surface brings vibrancy and light to the image, offering a modern interpretation.

The Process

Tony Chatman’s unwavering dedication to his artistic craftsmanship is truly exceptional. Every aspect of his distinctive style is driven by a steadfast commitment to excellence, ensuring he meets the highest standards. Tony believes that landscape and wildlife photography demand—and deserve—this level of precision. By merging state-of-the-art technology with traditional printing methods, his work achieves unmatched premium quality.

From the moment an image is captured to the time it graces your wall, Fiovida Gallery stands out as one of the few artist-owned galleries in the world to control every step of the process—from post-processing and printing to applying epoxy resin, constructing custom art panels, and handcrafting frames—is completed in-house. This rare level of control guarantees that each piece is a seamless blend of vision, material, and mastery.

For discerning collectors, Tony Chatman offers more than just photography—he offers a legacy. Each piece is created to be treasured for generations, serving as a true reflection of both artistry and passion.

At Fiovida Gallery, every gallery edition is meticulously crafted to the highest standards of fine art presentation. Each Gallery and Studio Edition piece begins with a hand-built wood art panel, custom-made in our workshop. Using premium archival inks, we print on museum-quality Hahnemühle Paper with our in-house SureColor large-format printer to produce images with smooth tonal transitions and rich, enduring colors. These inks are engineered for longevity, ensuring that each work maintains its brilliance for generations. Once printed, the artwork is mounted directly onto its panel, creating a stable foundation worthy of museum display.

Environment

Sustainability is at the core of our processes. Hahnemühle employs environmentally conscious practices by using sustainably sourced fibers and operating on renewable energy. Their vegan-certified, chemical-free paper production minimizes ecological impact, enabling us to create artwork that honors both nature and the collectors who value environmental stewardship.

Authenticity

At Fiovida Gallery we employ Hahnemuhle Certificate of Authenticity & Hologram System.

Fiovida Art Image Integrity Process is designed to ensure the authenticity and security of every Limited Edition, effectively eliminating the risk of forgery or duplication. Each piece is protected with a serialized, numbered hologram that is affixed to the front of the Certificate of Authenticity. An identical hologram is also attached to the back of the artwork, corresponding with the one on the certificate. Additionally, the hologram number is securely archived at the Fiovida studio. This comprehensive verification system guarantees that every Fiovida Art Edition you collect is a genuine, one-of-a-kind work of art.
